Under Battened Timber Floor Heating |
Deviheat™ systems are suitable for concrete floors with parquet coverings as well as for traditional plank floors on floor beams. For under timber floor installations it is very important that the floor is well insulated. Deviflex™ heating cables are laid out on top of a fine mesh netting, which is stretched out and fastened between two beams on top of the insulation material. The heating cable is laid parallel to the beams and the mesh netting is attached at least 30mm below the underneath of the floor surface. It will be necessary to make incisions into the beams to allow the cables to run between them.

It is important to select the most appropriate cable type for your heating system. Heating cables for wooden floors must have a maximum output of 10 W/m with a total wattage of maximum 80 W/m2. For under battened timber floors we recommend DSIG-10 or DTIP-10.
